Information about how Traverse Designs uses cookies on this website.

Information about our use of cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies to help us understand how visitors use our site so we can keep improving it. We will not set any non-essential cookies on your device unless you have given us your consent to do so.

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

How we categorise cookies

  • Strictly necessary cookies. Cookies that are required for the basic operation of our site, such as remembering your cookie consent preference. These do not require your consent.
  • Analytical / performance cookies. Cookies that allow us to recognise and count visitors, and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. We use these to understand which pages are useful and which are not, so we can keep making the site better. These cookies are only set after you consent.

We do not currently use functionality cookies or targeting / advertising cookies on this site.

Cookies we use

The table below lists the cookies we set, why we use them, and how long they last.

Cookie Category Purpose & duration
td_consent Strictly necessary Records your cookie preference (accepted or rejected) so we do not ask you again on every page. Set by this website. Expires after 12 months.
_ga Analytical Used by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors by assigning a randomly generated client identifier. No personal information is stored. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. Expires after 2 years.
_ga_DJEPD49B6B Analytical Used by Google Analytics to persist session state for our specific property. No personal information is stored. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. Expires after 2 years.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. When you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics generates an anonymous identifier so it can recognise you on future visits and distinguish your session from other visitors. We use IP anonymisation so your full IP address is never stored by Google.

The data collected is aggregated and reported to us in the form of visit numbers, page views, referring sources, device categories, and general location (country / region). We do not use Google Analytics data for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

You can read Google's privacy policy here: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site that uses it by installing Google's browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Changing your mind

You can change your cookie preference at any time by clicking Cookie preferences in the site footer. If you reject analytics cookies after previously accepting them, we will stop collecting new analytics data and Google Analytics will stop setting new cookies on your device. Any existing Google Analytics cookies already on your device can be cleared manually in your browser's cookie settings.

Blocking cookies through your browser

Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit aboutcookies.org or allaboutcookies.org.

Please be aware that if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including strictly necessary cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our site, and you may need to re-state your cookie preference each time you return.

Third-party cookies

Please note that third parties (in particular Google, as the provider of Google Analytics) may set and read cookies, over which we have limited control. These cookies are categorised as analytical/performance cookies and are only set after you consent.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes we will ask you to re-confirm your preferences.
